A bug report we can fix fast

  1. Which tool. The page address is enough, for example /compress-image.
  2. Browser and device. Chrome on Windows, Safari on iPhone and so on. Many bugs only happen in one browser.
  3. The file. Its type and roughly how large it is, in megabytes and in pixels if you know.
  4. What happened. What you expected, what you got instead, and any error message word for word.
  5. A screenshot. It often saves a round of questions. Only attach the image itself if it contains nothing private.

We actually reply

Not a bot. Not a template. A real person reads your message and responds. This site is run by humans who care whether the tools actually work.

Your data stays yours

We only use the email you give us to reply to you. That is it. No marketing list, no CRM, no "we noticed you have not visited in a while" emails.

Bug reports help everyone

If a tool is broken for you, it is probably broken for others too. Reporting it means we fix it for the next person. You are doing a public service.

Questions people ask before writing

Can you get back an image I processed here?+
No. The tools work inside your browser and your images are never uploaded, so there is no copy on our side. If you closed the tab before downloading, run the tool again on your original file.
Can I suggest a new tool?+
Yes. Describe the file you start with and the result you need at the end, for example a scanned PDF that has to become a JPG under 200 KB. That tells us more than the name of a tool.
Do you edit images for people?+
No. The tools are self serve and we do not take editing jobs. If a tool cannot do what you need, tell us what was missing and we will look at it.
Where does the contact form send my message?+
The form is delivered by Formspree, a form processing service, which forwards it to our inbox. We use your name and email only to reply. The privacy policy lists every service the site uses.
How do I report a security problem?+
Email [email protected] with the steps to reproduce it, and please give us a chance to fix it before you publish anything.

About this site

FreeImageTools is an independent project run by Outline Technologies LLC, a small software company. No investors, no agenda. Just 50 image tools that run in your browser without touching a server. We built it because most similar sites make you upload your files to some cloud, which is kind of weird when you think about it.

Feedback from real users shapes what gets built next. So if there is a tool you need, or something that annoys you about the existing ones, we want to know. Use the form above or email us directly. Either works. The about page explains how the tools work, and the privacy policy covers what data the site handles.
