Does my image get uploaded anywhere?

No. Every tool reads your file inside the browser tab and processes it there. Nothing is sent to our servers, and you can confirm it in the Network tab of your browser's developer tools.

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no paid plan, no watermark and no sign up. The site is paid for by ads, and the ads never receive your images, because your images never leave your device.

Which formats can I use?

Most tools accept JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF. The converter also opens HEIC, AVIF, TIFF, BMP, ICO, SVG and JFIF, and saves as JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, TIFF or ICO.

Is there a file size limit?

The compressor accepts files up to 50 MB each. The other tools are limited by your device's memory, so an older phone may struggle with a very large photo that a laptop handles easily.

Will compression ruin my photo?

Not at sensible settings. In our tests on twelve images, JPEG quality 85 stayed above 40 dB of fidelity, where differences are hard to see, at about a third of the size of quality 100. The live lab at the top of this page lets you check with your own eyes.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. The tools work in mobile Safari and Chrome. Very large images need more memory than some phones have, so resize those first if a tool struggles.

Why is the background remover slow the first time?

It downloads its AI model once, about 88 MB, and your browser keeps it for next time. After that it only needs your device's processing time.

Can I use the results commercially?

Yes. Your images stay yours, and there are no usage restrictions or attribution requirements on the files you create here.
